Congratulations on your decision to pursue further studies! As a small university, Nipissing has many advantages. Our focus is student success, which is directly related to quality teaching and outstanding student services.

Our top results in national surveys indicate that small class sizes, the availability of faculty to students, opportunities for research, professional placements, experiential learning opportunities, and overall quality of education are all Nipissing advantages that will help you complete your degree and realize your goals.

We offer distance programs in RPN Bridging and Business designed to work around your schedule as a mature learner. If it’s teaching you are hoping to pursue, Nipissing is home to the renowned Schulich School of Education. Interested in studying the outdoors? Nipissing is located on 720 acres of Canadian Shield forest so your lab work can be completed in your own “backyard.” Hoping to help those in need, we offer a credentialed Social Work degree with 900 placements hours -and those are just a few program highlights.

No matter what you choose to study with NU you can count on a supportive learning environment. From professors to academic advisors, to counselling staff and even admissions. Nipissing understands that every students’ situation is unique so you’ll never end up feeling like just a number.

Whether you are looking for the traditional university experience or hoping to fast track your learning, Nipissing offers the best of both worlds with transfer credit pathways to apply your prior studies towards your degree.
